Renowned film producer Anand Pandit led from the front at the Juhu Half Marathon held on Sunday (March 1), joining celebrities and citizens alike in support of a deeply meaningful cause. The event brought together more than 6,000 registered runners and served as a fundraiser for life-saving paediatric heart surgeries. Hosted at the JVPD Ground in Juhu, the marathon carried the inspiring tagline, “Keep your heart fit and let another heart beat,” beautifully blending the spirit of fitness with compassion and purpose.
The marathon flagged off at 5:30 am and witnessed enthusiastic participation from several well-known personalities from the Indian film industry. Among those present were Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber, Jackie Shroff, Neetu Chandra, Rajat Bedi, Ruhi Singh, choreographer Ahmed Khan and Pushkar Jog, who all showed their support for the initiative. With race categories of 21 km, 10 km and 4 km, the event welcomed runners of varying endurance levels, encouraging everyone to contribute to the larger mission.

For Anand Pandit, widely regarded as one of the fittest figures in both the Bollywood and business fraternities, the marathon was a natural extension of his dedication to health and social responsibility. Speaking about the event, he shared that completing a marathon symbolizes determination, perseverance and the pursuit of personal excellence. “It is not about winning,” he emphasized, “but about finishing the distance. The goal matters. This year’s goal was noble — to raise awareness and funds for children in need of critical heart surgeries.”

He further expressed pride in seeing friends, colleagues and members of the Juhu community unite for the cause. “Meaningful change happens when discipline, influence and collective action come together with purpose,” he said, adding that he was grateful to contribute to such an impactful initiative.
The Juhu Half Marathon was presented by Lotus Developers in association with the Get Fit Through Sports Foundation and the Rotary Club of Bombay Airport.
