On the occasion of World Music Day, actor Neel Samarthh—currently seen in Sabse Bada Rupaiya on Atrangii and soon to appear in the upcoming web series Rose Garden—opened up about his deep love for music and its constant presence in his life. “It’s there when no one else is,” he says with heartfelt honesty.
Whether he’s working out, driving through the city, or simply unwinding after a long shoot, music is his trusted companion. “It helps me think clearly, and it lifts me up on tough days,” Neel Samarthh shares. His connection to music is both emotional and instinctive.

When asked about his all-time favorite singer, Neel Samarthh doesn’t hesitate. “Sonu Nigam,” he says, smiling. “There’s something raw and genuine about his voice. No matter what I’m feeling—joy, sadness, or introspection—his songs resonate deeply. He never needed loud beats or dramatic arrangements; his voice alone could move you.”
A song especially close to his heart is “Khoya Khoya Chand” by Mohammed Rafi. “It’s one of those timeless melodies that gently reminds me to pause and appreciate the little things—the quiet moments and the people who matter. It keeps me grounded and grateful,” he reflects.

Neel Samarthh strongly believes in the emotional power of music. “Even a single song can shift your entire vibe. If I’m drained or feeling off, the right track can energize me in seconds. Music doesn’t need translation—it speaks straight to your soul.”
On the topic of remix culture, Neel takes a thoughtful stance. “Some classics should just be left untouched—they’re already perfect. But if a remix is done with sensitivity and respect for the original, it can appeal to a new generation. That said, I’m also always excited to discover new artists and original compositions.”
For Neel, music is more than just sound—it’s emotion, connection, and healing.
