Actor Vipul Roy known for his roles in television and OTT series has carved a niche for himself in the industry. The actor, who has juggled with two professions working as a chef at restaurants in the night and reporting to the sets in the morning for his shows early in his career, gained popularity with his role of Bhola Pandit in the show F.I.R. on SAB TV. One look at his Instagram profile and you will realise he is also an ace content creator. Recently, the actor got in conversation with a high profile celebrity lawyer Zameer Nathani on his Instagram Live and discussed ways to tackle cyber crime.
In a stimulating conversation with Zameer, Vipul touched base on the different types of cyber crimes such cyber bullying, cyber stalking, cyber fraud, fake accounts, morphing photos, harassment etc. on social media, email, WhatsApp and other platforms. He also took into consideration some examples of cyber crimes involving celebrities and how one can file a complaint to protest themselves.
“Impersonation and identity theft is an act of fraudulently or dishonestly making use of identity of a victim. For example, a fraudster can open a fake online account in the victim’s name,” said Zameer Nathani.
“The information given to us by Mr. Nathani has been eye-opening, and it is paramount for us to keep this in mind,” says Vipul Roy.
“In this world of tech savvy individuals, maintaining cyber safety is of utmost importance to keep our mental health and security intact,” he added.
