Meta unveiled its latest innovation, the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses, at Lakmé Fashion Week—one of India’s most influential platforms celebrating fashion and culture. The collaboration seamlessly blended style, technology, and creativity, highlighting how wearable AI can redefine content creation through a hands-free, immersive experience.
Speaking about the initiative, Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President and Head – India and South East Asia at Meta, emphasized the significance of the platform. She noted that Lakmé Fashion Week continues to shape India’s fashion narrative, and introducing Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses in this space allowed creators to capture and share moments instantly, unlocking new dimensions of creative storytelling.

A key highlight of the collaboration was the Ray-Ban Meta Red Chairs experience—a unique front-row runway integration that placed the wearable at one of the most coveted vantage points. Popular creators including Mohak Narang, Vishal Pandey, Aastha Shah, Rohit Khandelwal, Sanket Mehta, Manav Chhabra, Unnati Malharkar, and Sufi Motiwala experienced runway showcases while wearing the glasses. This enabled them to capture and share real-time, first-person perspectives, offering audiences a more intimate and engaging view of the event.
Beyond the runway, it curated an exclusive dinner that brought together renowned designers such as Falguni Peacock, Shane Peacock, David Abraham, Rakesh Thakore, and Amit Gupta. The gathering provided an opportunity for the fashion community to explore the potential of wearable AI and its role in enhancing design and storytelling.

Adding an interactive dimension, Meta introduced the “Strike a Pose with Ray-Ban Meta glasses” installation. Guests could simply say, “Hey Meta, take a picture,” to capture high-resolution images, which were instantly transformed into stylised, magazine-style visuals.
Through this initiative, Meta demonstrated how wearable AI can seamlessly integrate into cultural moments, empowering creators, elevating storytelling, and delivering immersive experiences—further strengthening its connection with India’s evolving creator and fashion ecosystem.
